The first motion poster of ‘Bank Chor’ of Y Films, the youth wing of Yash Raj Films, was revealed on Friday.
Starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Anand Oberoi and Rhea Chakraborty, the film ‘Bank Chor’ produced under the Y-films banner is the first feature film in the world to release in 16D. The movie revolves around three friends who try to rob a bank and possibly pick the worst day to do the job.
Bank Chor aims to “activate all senses for a viewer in terms of touch, sight, hearing, smell, taste and also thought, imagination & feeling” with the 16D technology.
In the poster, the trio are seen disguised as a Baba, an elephant and a horse in order to pursue their robbery mission. Y Films unveils the motion poster with tweet, “Ganpati Bappa Morya lets rock! First ever feature film to release in 16D #BankChorOn16June”
Speaking on the unique release of his film, Riteish Deshmukh said, “I’m thrilled to be a part of this first ever technological innovation in the Indian Film Industry. 3D is so last season, when you have 16D! I’m certain Bank-Chor will steal a lot of hearts but since you can’t take chances, I’m also keeping a 16-day fast and chanting Om Y-Films O Namah 16 times a day… am told it really works!”
Directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil, Bank Chor is a fun comic thriller. Shri Sriram, Superbia (Gourov Dasgupta, Roshin Balu & Shaan), Kailash Kher, Rochak Kohli, Baba Sehgal and Shameer Tandon are part of the music team for the film.
Bank Chor is slated to release worldwide on June 16.
