The Anti-Romeo squads formed by the newly elected CM of UP Yogi Adityanath, has already created enough controversies on social media. These Anti-Romeo squads have been formed to keep eve teasing cases in control; they are doing a great job and they certainly deserve appreciation for the same.
However, there’s one person, who tried to defame these squads, but got thrashed because he wrongly linked them to Lord Krishna, thereby hurting the sentiments of Hindus. We are talking about Prashant Bhushan, a lawyer, activist, and founder of Swaraj Abhiyan (A new political party).
Here’s what he tweeted;
Romeo loved just one lady,while Krishna was a legendary Eve teaser.Would Adityanath have the guts to call his vigilantes AntiKrishna squads? https://t.co/IYslpP0ECv

Basically, he supported the tweet of Anupam, the spokesperson of Swaraj India.
The tweet read, “Romeo loved just one lady,while Krishna was a legendary Eve teaser.Would Adityanath have the guts to call his vigilantes AntiKrishna squads?”.
He referred to Lord Krishna as an eve-teaser, and this made religious groups furious. This tweet wasn’t taken lightly; BJP immediately filed a complaint against him. Basically, Prashant Bhushan was trying to compare Romeo (molesters) to Lord Krishna, but he certainly failed to realize that he’s digging his own grave in this process.
His tweet received massive shares and replies, and Twitterati thrashed him for his wrong choice of words. This wasn’t going to be taken casually.
Bhushan’s derogatory remark against Lord Krishna put him in a big mess. He tried to make his stand clear by explaining that it was not for insulting the Lord, but just for criticizing the government’s action. Have a look at his clarifications;
My tweet on Romeo brigade being distorted. My position is: By the logic of Romeo Brigade, even Lord Krishna would look like eve teaser.

We have grown up with legends of young Krishna teasing Gopis.The logic of Romeo squad would criminalise this.Didnt intend to hunt sentiments
— Prashant Bhushan (@pbhushan1) April 2, 2017
Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, the BJP spokesperson for Delhi, took to Twitter to declare that a police complaint has been filed against Prashant Bhushan for his insulting comment. Here’s what he tweeted…
Filing A police complaint today against Prashant Bhushan for insulting Lord Krishna https://t.co/JCCdkpbGsa
— Tajinder Pal S Bagga (@TajinderBagga) April 2, 2017
Here’s the copy of that complaint;
Now, Bagga says that the complaint will be withdrawn only if Bhushan renders an apology. He further added that Bhushan has passed such filthy statements in the past too, but his recent statement has hurt millions.
Apart from Bagga, there were many others who criticized Prashant Bhushan for his remarks. Check out the tweets!
Shame!
@pbhushan1 It is such a shame and disappointment coming from you.. Don’t stoop to such low levels for attention! Please! Its too cheap even for you

Do you know the difference?
@pbhushan1 You don’t know the difference between being naughty and molestation??!!
— Rajni Kalra 🇮🇳ੴ (@rajjorani) April 2, 2017
You are wrong!
@pbhushan1 you are wrong…u are saying that Gopis were being harassed by lord Krishna. Comparing a consensual playful act to molestation?
— Praveen Pandey (@zoomonthis) April 2, 2017
His past deeds!
He questioned army on killing terrorist #BurhanWani,supports Kashmir Azadi,stood for #YakubMenon at 2AM in SC & now slandering lord Krishna👇 https://t.co/vKEqk6Mtxo

Furious!
I am giving @pbhushan1 48-hrs to apologise and delete his tweet on Lord Krishna or I will take him to court. https://t.co/ebh2pbqvlb
